Children & Young People

Children & young people are a very important part of the church at St Mellons, and we have a number of groups just for them.

Morning (10:30–11:45)

The morning service includes a short talk for children of primary school age. We are currently going through the book of Romans in our morning services. After the service there is a chance to chat over a cup of tea or coffee. Sunday School follows the morning service in the upstairs hall at 12 noon. We celebrate Communion together at the end of the service on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

We run a creche during both our morning and evening services every Sunday, to encourage parents to bring their children to both services. In the morning the creche is just for pre-school children, and sermon-based activity sheets are provided for older children who are staying in for the whole service. We understand that Sunday can be a tiring day for young children who have been to the morning service and Sunday School, so in the evening creche extends to children in infants school too, if they wish to use it. All our creche helpers are church members who have been DBS checked, please click the link for more information.

"And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him."

1 John 5:14–15 (ESV)
